Tommy Searle is no longer a full-time competitor in the FIM Motocross World Championship, as he has signed a domestic deal with the Buildbase Honda squad, but he had decided to compete at the Grand Prix of Great Britain as a wildcard. Searle has pulled of that event as well though, because of the shoulder injury that has hindered him in recent weeks. It was nothing major – he just tweaked it and that made things uncomfortable. A statement from Buildbase Honda is below.
"@TommySearle100 has decided not to do the British GP. Whilst his shoulder is now fully recovered, he wants to focus on round one of the British Championship. He continues his preparation with @StevenClarke511 in Spain."
Tommy Searle's Buildbase Honda teammate, Jake Nicholls, was attempting to get an entry for the British Grand Prix but was on the waiting list. It remains to be seen if Searle's absence will open the door for him to compete.
